i was wondering if anyone can tell me signs of when a GeForce 3 is burned up

i know that sometimes hardware can still work but have things burned up or damaged on them

i think my memory is gone, i droped from about 7500 on 3dmarks 2001 to about 5100

i compared system info from 3dmarks2001

on my P4 Dell comp with a geforce 2 ultra 64 DDR

and my ABIT P4 comp with geforce 3 64 DDR

system info says:

total AGP memory 64MB DELL_Geforce 2 ultra

total AGP memory 0 MB ABIT_Geforce 3

i think i have found the problem, now what to do with it?

it was running fine and then i:

added water cooler (Koolance)

reformated HDD and went to 98se from XP Pro

flashed bios for TH7 RAID

maybe some of these caused problems?

what do you think

Are you using the latest nVidia drivers?

yes i am

i solved my problem though

i reformated and reinstalled Win XP Pro

and everything is running fine again

the version of 98 i installed was the version that came with my Dell

so, it could of caused problems, or it was a bad install?

Most OEM OS's suck. My friend has a Dell that came with the Dell Windows ME disc. I said IF YOU USE IT EVER AGAIN I WILL $%$^$#*%&##$%@#^&!!!. Dont use the OEM disc.

"total AGP memory 0 MB ABIT_Geforce 3"

I've had that happen w/ a GeForce2, not necessarily something to be worried about.
