As the title says. I came home to find my main Rig idle till i opened BOINC Manager then it started to crunch. Whats weird was it was not snoozing. Any ideas what happened or how i can insure this doesn't occur again?

log into your boinc account at seti, set crunching time as 24 X 7
turn off snooze in your computer settings
in boinc within your pc set to run always

Had all those settings exactly Eagle. I reviewed my log and not sure but looks like it had a problem connecting to the server for some reason after 1ish EST. Seems it went idle after trying to connect for so long. lost about 6+ hrs on this Rig. all others don't seem affected. Weird.

I noticed that all my rigs had results backlogged early this afternoon, so I guess the server was down for a short while. That could be why you couldn't get any new work, gruvin2. I set my prefs to keep a days worth of work queued in case of server problems.

I've gotten to the point after the last big down-time we had (near 1 Jan) that I set my prefs to keep 10 days ahead. Even at 7 days I was only 12 hours short of running out of work on one of my machines and a day short on another before the problem was semi-fixed ...
