Hi There!

Does any one know where I can get some up to date Drivers for my Modem as XP does not like it as it is.

The only information I have on the Modem is "Conexant HCF PCI Modem"

Do you have the box whats the manufacture? Try surfing around http://www.windrivers.com/

SORTED!!

Found a site http://www.conexant.com loaded Win2k drivers, everything okay.

I installed Win XP on my parents computer. They got nothing but restarts and blue screen errors. The Modem there using is an OEM USR PCI modem. There are no XP drivers for it. I tried Win 2K drivers and the modem worked but the system was very unstable. Even with the drivers XP installed for the modem the system was VERY unstable as well.
I whipped out XP and installed Win 2K and the system runs flawlessly!

Surely if you had run the diagnostics on your parents machine via the XP CD you would have been warned of the incompatability probs. & then found a driver for the Modem? Thats how I found my prob. before tempting to install XP.
