This helped me decide on the 8800 GTS 320mb version for my needs. Great article that should help lots of people. Sorry if you have already seen it. It gets down to the nitty gritty in comparing the GTS 320MB and 640MB along with all the 8800's and a high end 79xx series. Even does some SLi tests.

Thx for the link I remember seeing this probably when it came out but its good infromation to look at considering that I'm looking at possibly jumping the ATI boat and get an nVidia, since they delayed the release more.

Hmm, those 320Mb look live a double sided sword... the 320mb might betray on near future titles.
My 7900gtx spanks it on GRAW and COD2.

COD2 in DX9? With Extra textures?

That review is exactly why I went ahead with the 640mb version. My card easily hits 625/900, and runs better numbers than that, and has the memory to boot. Future games are most likely not going to need less memory.

The fact that near future games will make use of additional memory makes me hesitant to get less than 512MB RAM on a video card.
At $300 though can't beat it. I only use 1280x1024 anyway.

It's chinese, but the graph is easy to understand. Check out the performance drop on FEAR and COD2 on high resolutions, where it even falls behind the 7950gt which is reasonably slower than my 7900gtx.

This is a hold me over card until I can afford an 8800 GTX. I got the GTS 320 and when I want to get my GTX I will just do a step up... <3 EVGA!
