DDR ram reading as SD in bios???

Ok I am wanting to try to understand this correctly... My brother has the EPOX 8K7A+ mobo... When we go into bios to change the latency of the ram... and it only reads as SDRAM in there? wtf? Its a DDR board. Any help here??? Is that the spot to do that? or? Is he just looking in the wrong areas?

DDR after is just fancy SDRAM, seeing as it is a DDR board it might just say SDRAM to save space or something, try a diagnostic proggy such as Sandra to see it is in fact running at spec..
