LOL Reading Rainbow. Man remember that show.
The news doesn't shock me. You go with the option that will net you the most money. Seeing as the DS attachment rate is absolutely phenomenal, they went with that.

Developers never really UNDERSTOOD the PSP. I suppose you only have Sony to blame for that. They simply lined-up all their PS2 developers and had them pump out low-rez versions of those games for the PSP (instead of making actual PSP games.) A few people understood this fallacy, (like the makers of Loco Rocco), the majority did not.
But it's not over yet. It would only take one game to turn things around. The DS was not saved by New Super Mario Bros... it was saved by Brain Age. In the end, I think, the games that don't even USE the damn console-like buttons are going to be the ones that sell the most. Likewise, using the PSPs advance tech to create games that are nothing like PS2 games could eventually make it a serious contender. But of course you'll need to dump all the PS2 developers and get the kind of third parties that made ELite Beat Agents and Brain Age.

/\True. The PS2 is the best selling console of all time, and to simply release remakes of its games just does not cut it as most people who want those games have a PS2 already.
