I'm gonna buy the Radeon 8500, and it has a fan on it, and i was gonna buy a slot fan to go right beneath it, i read the prodcut watch on here about the cheap slot fan but i'm still gonna buy it anyways,
well will the fact that the slot fan is gona be sucking air out directly beaneath the fan of the video card casue any negative pressure or will they counteract each other or make things better or?

I'm pretty sure it would counteract the GPU's fan. You can always try it, in different combinations though. Reverse the direction of the GPU fan, or reverse the direction of the slot fan.
i've got a radeon le set up kinda like you're thinkin. it just had a passive heatsink on it so i screwed a li'l 40mm fan into the heatsink (blowing away from the board) . . . then i stuck a pci slot cooler a couple slots underneath . . . then used a li'l box to duct the vid-card fan to the pci slot fan intake . . . seems to work pretty well. i couldn't o/c at all before . . . now it's o/c'd by ~40 mhz. anyway, by the same token, you could prolly just flip the fan on your 8500 and put the pci slot fan underneath it and it should work fine. i'd definitely recommend setting yourself up some kind of duct, though, cuz the two fans are never gonna line up right . . .
