Far Cry looking problem

I recently installed far cry, downloaded the 1.4 patch and tried running the game. However, I can't look, I can only face straight ahead. I replaced the batteries in my mouse, the mouse moves in the menu, but it does'nt do anything in the game. Anybody ever expericence this before or know a way to fix it?

Is the game on some sort of joystick input? I don't have Far Cry installed right now, so I can't help too well, but make sure it's accepting mouse input ingame.

Ditto. Check to see if joystick is enabled or not. I have had this bite me a couple times in the past on games where the system would just automatically assign the joystick to be the defaul controller and I would be stuck dead in the water. Good luck if that isn't it hehe!~

This is a well known problem with the 1.4 patch. You have to reset the controls to default, and then it works OK (You can change them to custom ones again after you have done this).
