Top up your Wii points, ladies and gents, because Ocarina is coming to the Wii tomorrow morning! I haven't played it before but since everyone says this is the best Zelda I will have to make it my first download.

I think I'll just use the GC version that came w/ my Gamecube.
If you haven't played this in like, forever it'll be a great buy.

Yeah that disc came with mine too. It also has Majora's Mask and the original NES and SNES Zelda games too.
I'd suggest going that route as well seeing as it was a pack-in game there is probably a TON out there used for like 10 bucks or something.
I have the N64 cart sitting right across the room. No need to buy this here :)

yeah I still have the N64 cart....but I heard that gamecube pack is a great deal...this is a great game for anyone who has yet to play it...definatly in my top 5 of all time, although twilight might actually be the new best.
IIRC, that disc didn't have Link to the Past on it. It did have the first one, however.

I just got Ocarina of time on another system. Though I'd probably get the GC Windwaker collector's edition that comes with the Windwaker, Ocarina, and Majora's Mask.
For such an older game, I still have and randomly play Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo64. My biggest question about this, is can you play it with the wii controller and such, or need another controller connected?
Btw, I recently got a Wii =D

You'll have to use the GC controller or the Classic Controller (if it's supported)

I got it this afternoon and plugged in my old wavebird controller. I have to say I actually like it more than Twilight Princess, it doesn't baby you for the first hour it gets right to the story. Controls are responsive, the graphics and animation are actually pretty impressive for back in the day. I noticed a slight framerate issue during a flyby but I attribute that to the code, since the Wii hardware should easily be able to handle the graphics. Now as I set out on another Zelda adventure I just hope that the ending is as cool as Wind Wakers!
Wow, you haven't played it before? You're in for a treat. It's a great game!

I was an *awesome* game, I just couldn't get into the camera/targetting system. They tweaked it a tiny bit, and came out with Wind Waker which IMO... perfected that targetting system. I'm a HUGE fan of the Wind Waker and it's gameplay, story didn't get really engrossing until the very end unlike OoT which started right off the bat.

So I'm a little confused, does wind waker come with OoT? The 4in1 promo disk seems to be very expensive :(

Sorry man :P Wind Waker doesn't come with OoT, i just compared the two in terms of gameplay & targetting
FWIW, OoT is cheap if you download it with Wii points. My OoT/master quest disk cost me 4x that when i bought it, and that was used.

You have to purchase them, either with a credit card via the Wii Shop Channel, or from a store in the form of a Wii Points card.
