how to disable auto play for the HDD

hey there guys
i hv this problem where every time i try on double click on my HDD it opens in the Explorer mode and when i double click it shows on the top of the list (Auto Play) ???

You can disable it on a per-drive basis using TweakUI XP.

You could also disable the AutoPlay function by using Group Policy. Start | Run | Type gpedit.msc, and click OK | Expand the following branch in the Group Policy Editor...

Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | System

Locate the entry for "Turn Off Autoplay" in the RH pane | Right click and select "Properties" | "Setting" tab | Click the "Enable" radio button. You can click the "Explain" tab in the GP Editor for an explanation of the setting.
