I'm a total noob without any knowledge of overclocking, but I would like a nice fast system. I was shocked to find only ONE overclocked system on Ebay! Out of thousands of computers for sale, only one overclocked build?

WTF?

Seems there would be a HUGE market for this sort of thing! There are people (like myself) with no experience building systems, but who want blazing performance above stock speeds.

I would pay good money if someone could build me an E6600 system with a cool and stable overclock of 3ghz. The parts for a system with a gig of RAM should cost no more than $600, and could easily be sold for $900-1000 on Ebay.

Why aren't people doing this?

When you overclock you lose the intel warranty and if the system burns out that company is held responsible if they give out a warranty.

Still, an overclocked system could be sold "as is" on Ebay.

If the seller were reputable and had sold many systems, I would certainly buy from them. Seems like quite an easy profit for those who know how to custom build and overclock...
