OK I got my PSP over a year ago and I have been having fun with it ever since.

Anyway I've messed with PSP Video 9 and converted many of my DVD's to MP4 format and watched them on my PSP.

Just recently I got my PSP to accept the 3.03 OE-C firmware and have been backing up my PS1 games and playing them.

Now I have been trying backing up my PSP games to .iso and putting them on my psp. Problem is some come out very large. 1 game in particular is GTA VC which was about 1.5gb. I only had 1 gb card.

I bought a 4 gb pro duo and copied the GTAVC .iso to my PSP and it plays but very very choppy. Actually many thing seem slower with this memstick.

The choppiness makes the game unplayable for me. Anyone have any ideas? I've heard some mention of overclocking. IS this what I need to do? and if so what concerns are there for me? I was nervouse when I upgraded my firmware butI followed the instructions carefully and its working fine.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yea I heard of this problem with 4GB sticks and I recall that formatting it with FAT16 fixed the problem so you should give it a try.

Also to OC your PSP while playing PSP games just cold boot it while holding right trigger and it should take you to configuration screen where you can set the clock to 333MHz.

Thanks so much for the reply.

How do I format with FAT16?

Nevermind - found it..

For those who want to know

In windows with PSP plugged in

Start>Run> FORMAT X: /FS:FAT
(where X is the letter of your PSP drive)

Did you try using the compressor for the psp isos, I believe .ciso or .cso are supported by the custom firmware. Did reformating in ft16 work for you? I have the same problem so I gave up on UMD iso they take too much space anyway.
