Thunderbird thoughts ??

ok i oveclocked my 1.33 g, 266 athlon, to 1470 g, using my kg7 m/board.

at idle it runs at 38c, fully loaded 45c , but every once in a while it will just shut down as if power has been cut off, any thoughts please.

what powersupply are you using? a weak psu will often cause a pc to just randomly reboot like that.

it is a generic mass produced 300 wat thing, funny it is stable when i dont turn up the core voltage, so for instance it is now running at 1470ghz, @ 1.750 volts if i turn up the voltage a little the temps are still fine but it will re-boot ramdomly, oh well guess i will have to go shopping again.

if it starts rebooting when you just raise the core voltage without overclocking further, then it would definitely suggest a power issue. what are your 3.3v and 5v lines at when it's stable? so they drop drastically when you raise the core voltage?
