I was looking on newegg.com and i was looking at a sata dvd bruner.:drool: i was woundering what are the main differecnes between an ata and a sata dvd bruner? and are thay worth buying over an ata drive?

The main reason that I have seen is for making the inside of your case a little cleaner. For me it was the last fat cable to get rid of.

The main reason I would think of for using one is thinner cable and if you plan on running multiple DVD Burners simultaneously. Since SATA allows for all the drives to be sending and receiving data at the same time it could improve performance in that area a little. If your just using one then the only real reason is for a thinner cable.

QFT. There is no direct performance difference. Only change will be the cable, and performance if you use multiple optical drives. (SATA is basically the same as using a single device per IDE channel)
