According to Sidewinder, the FuZion WASTES the Apogee and the Storm. Can this be right?? I say this based on the performance graphs for thermal resistance.

Am getting ready to build a H20 System and want to get the most effective block.

Apogee

Storm

FuZion

I though Swifteck blocks were the end all in CPU Blocks??

On a single die cpu storm would probably be best or about as good as apogee or fuzion. Storm is much more restrictive than other two.

On quad intel core storm looses to other two.

As goes for Apoggee Gt vs Fuzion, I have not seen any reliable tests comparing one to other.

I think I would stick with the storm on all but quad cores.

I tend to agree as temp raise due to voltage and overclock the storm superior efficiency(if coupled with a strong enough pump) will more then make up for the smaller cooled area. So single core storm beat them all, on dual the the higher the heat output the better the storm perform(low to moderate OC apogee or FuZion would be best suited, on high to extreme strom should be better)and on quads I don't think there is enough data to conclude anything. But we are talking a 1-2C temp difference at best so unless you are going all out any block you choose are top tier and will do the job more then adequately...

The problem with comparing the thermal resistance charts on Sidewinder's product pages is that they don't come from the same source, and hence, weren't generated using the same conditions. Even comparing Swiftech's claims for the Apogee vs. the Storm is a bit dodgy, as their test setup might not be a close match for your system.

I'd go with the Storm for single die CPU's (including AMD dual cores, and perhaps even their quads when they come out). The Storm is designed to cool a small area extremely well, but doesn't do as well with Intel's more spread out, multi-die CPU's.

I was thinking it would probably just be a better deal to get the Apogee, like Tekko said, its only a 1-2 degree difference most likely. And the Apogee isnt nearly as expensive as the Fuzion is (like 65 dollars).

on a side note, Tekko we have a really similar system set up right now
same hard drives, same g-card ('traded' my 8800 to a friend to let him use, so im using a 1900xtx), and i have the intel version of your mobo.

just throwing that out there.
