View Full Version : E6300 help (cant OC past 2.40)

Hello guyz i am needing some help in getting E6300 past the 2.40ghz mark, heres my clocks. Anything above 2.40 and my system wont start this is my PC ive built myself and the first time i have tried to OC a chip.

System specs below.
E6300 (OC ed to 2.40)
Asrock ConRoe 645G-DVI
1 Gig DDR2 PC4200 memory
Geforce 7800 GT
Any help is very welcome thank you Craig.
If it is anything like my 945P-s3, sorry to say youve hit a wall :(
my 945 chipset wouldnt boot at 330. at any voltage/settings...
Also your memory is pretty OCd as it is.

I am stuck at the same exact spot too lol...i need some 800mhz ram befor i can go any further :(

Nope i know sumone with the same setup that actually posted on these forums and they got theres up to 2.8 without much trouble, the only difference was they had slightly faster memory than me.

sooooo....why don't you ask them what they did to get 400fsb? because i haven't seen anyone even get to the 340fsb that you have shown (although, admittedly, it is not a very popular mobo, so i haven't seen many examples. but you have to wonder, why isn't it popular? my answer, is it not a very strong overclocker).
oh, and i did a search around for your particular motherboard, as you have listed it, ConRoe 645G-DVI. this is an Asrock board no? i can't find any reference online to a 645G-DVI, but i know of a 945G-DVI. maybe you made a typo, if so your mobo has a 945 chipset, and has NO chance of hitting 400fsb, regardless of what your friend says, trust me.
