I recieved and E-mail today stating that Egghead.com is back now partnered with Amazon.com.

I've always had a good experience ordering from Egghead, so this is happy day for me :).

Errr nevermind I did some browsing through their new site and I'm not seeing any prices that really make me happy. Forget I mentioned it.

I was never impressed with Egghead in the first place, so it's not likely I'll go out of my way to spend money there. But anyway, thanks for the info, you never know where good news is going to come from.

So the question is: Is it any different from being amazon.com? Since they tab reference each other, what we really have is amazon.com but with a few more warehouses.

Since they have better inventory control than egghead ever did, that means no more major bargains. -1 points.

Since they do have better service overall than egghead ever did, Egghead gets that point back but since it goes to amazon's account, it means nothing.
