What is your favorite weapon in RTCW?

Mine would be the snooper, especially in the night time :cool:

I'll have to let ya know. I just started playing the game. It's AWESOME! The best 3D shooter I've played in a long time. Much better then Max Payne IMO!

Yep, very eye pleasing game. The only gripe I have about it is the single player game was short in my opinion. Still a great game.

I paid 54.00 bucks at a local computer store, some people are buying it online for around 30-40 bucks. Personally although it is a great game, it is NOT worth over $50 in my opinion. Here is a link for some pics.

heheh I think Max payne was about the same price...Really was not worth it...too short and really no replay value....

It is! A lot of the levels are set at night, and you have to do quite a bit of monster killing, I think some of the levels are as scary as AVP1... i prefer not to play the game at night :D

Silenced Sten. It kicks ass in bursts - overheats if you lay the pedal to the metal to much, though. Killin Nazis and their experimental soldier/creature creations. I really love the snooper rifle - but it doesn't come with enough ammo to use it too much!!! :confused: :confused: :eh?:

Cool the guns overheat....That really adds to the game... alot of people here seem to like that snooper rifle..... must be good Eh? the last game I really had fun with was Soldier of fortune... had lots of good guns but lacked that good gun efect...max Panye on the other hand was "allright" nothing really to get happy over.....you just had your "normal" set of issused guns....

Those things are a pain in the rear. They jump around a lot. And when they decide they want to come after you, you can't out run them - they jump at you really fast. And, yes, the snooper rifle is that cool. It has a night vision scope and a silencer - really sweat for murdering nazis. Hehehehe

ferrari, the gun you are talking about with the clip on the side is the FG-42 paratrooper rifle. its pretty tight but it doesn't have a high rate of fire. what it lacks in speed it makes up in punch thouh. a few well placed shots will knock just about anybody down.i like sniping people from afar mostly, but i think aside from that my favorite gun would either be the paratrooper rifle or any of the submachine guns (thompson, mp40, sten) because they all kick all kinds of ass.

I'm still using the demo myself, in Canada the price at Electronic Boutique is $79.99 and I'm waiting till after Christmas for it to drop. As for my favorite gun I like the Tommy gun. From my experience it gives a harder kick than the mp40.

The venom is a sweet gun, it just gets too hot and you have to stop firing it.

I bought the game when it first came out, prices have dropped a lot. And only "fools" cheat (refering to your UT post) :o .

And yes, the night vision look is correct even during the day while using the scope on the snooper rifle.

Sorry bout' the bad news :( . The Radeon 8500 is a sweet card, but ATI still has driver problems as usual. I have heard of others having problems with RTCW/Radeon 8500 too. Hope you get it worked out.

Well I was thinking for myself to get a Ati Radeon 8500 in the summer..But with all this Hell I just might get the Geforce3 ti-500 and a 8500 lol so when one fails I can use the other:p

I would take either one right now, the g3 ti 500 or the radeon 8500 :D . I think I will wait for some major price drops though.

I used the mauser for most of the game. The FG-42 is pretty good as well, but only if you have enough ammo. In close quarter the sten owns. The flamethrower is good for undead (almost too good, one shot from the flamer, and one from the sten will drop any undead).

You couldn't pay me to take another 8500. Way to many problems. Let's just hope that the new drivers will help. Whenever they get around to finishing them. :rolleyes:

I have this card in my stock Epox 8KHA+ rig and it's always freezing up on me. You have to download a patch for CS before you can even play or else you keep getting kicked off. Which is a just stupid. It also freezes up on me every once in awhile.

While playing RTCW, I may get to play for maybe 1 hour to 1 min before the darn thing locks up on me. It doesn't matter if I just booted up my comp or have had it running all day. Resolution settings don't matter a bit. I have tried the Omega and ATI drivers with no luck. This card just plain sucks. Grant it, the graphics are killer, but come on! I don't wish this card on my worst enemy.

I'm not the only one with this problem, either. A lot of ATI based cards seem to be having trouble with RTCW.

I would stick with Nvidia.

My Radeon 64DDR does just fine with RTCW. I run 1280 x 1024 in 32bit color and it's smooth as silk. Not sure about frame rates, but if it's smooth what's the difference. This is with Win 2k and latest official drivers.

Yup the Mirrors and something else I can't remember...I know before the patch the frame rates sucked on a Geforce3.... I have yet to have any problems. The game is still kinda jurky..

1. silenced maching gun (i forgot what it was called, but i seem to do best w/ this gun, hence being at the top)
2.akimbo colts (so awesome)
3.silenced luger (while holding a chair when possible)
4.mauser
5.paratrooper rifle
6.tommy gun (would be at the top if there was more ammo in the game)
7.flame thrower
8.venom gun
9.grenades
10.knife
11.snooper (i really didnt like this gun too much)
overall rtcw is a great game, i cant wait to get broadband so i can play multiplayer. . .

Thanks too thats Stupid @Home they caused people's Cable Internet to go up from $29.99 per month to $40.00 A month.....Looks like I will be sticking with my 56k longer :) Besides I don't really like playing games online anyway....too many cheaters..

i don't think i've ever really seen any cheaters on RTCW multi. its a pretty good community so far (even though some times i think they are cheating cause they're so damn good!)
