So I have a laptop who's motherboard has died. (power supply connection issues)

Anyway I was hoping to build a media center rig out of it.

The CPU is a 3.06ghz "SL726"

I would like to find a small motherboard that if possible can use sodimms so I don't have to buy new memory, or if it comes down to it I can just sell the memory on ebay and buy a new stick.

Anyway I've found this board

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130046

I like it cause it has DVI out.

Has anyone on here used it and do you guys know if it would work with the above cpu? I see that it should work with newer ones but I duno if it will support this older one.

Or if anyone knows of a good ITX or micro atx board by all means please share.

Thats definatly not compatalbe with that mobo..

looks like your after a 852 or 845 chipset mobo. I'm not so sure if they made desktop boards or adaptors that are P4-M compatable

I searched for a 852 based board that I could use and it looks like there are a few of them.

There are no desktop motherboards that can run a P4-M correctly. The P-M and Core s478 boards don't work at all with P4-M CPU's. The CPU fits into a standard desktop 478 mobo, however the multiplier will default to 12x so you have to overclock the FSB to 255mhz just to get back to 3.06 ghz.
