With all our new folders I am sure they would like to know who the leaders of our group are.

sfa ok seems to have slowed quite a bit. We have a major challenge in OC.AU and lately our CHOSEN leadership are making no attempts to motivate. I believe in leadership by example.

The team is important but people have lives too. Its the end of the year and people are busy. If you want I can PM those two and see whats up. If their too busy I'm sure they'll let you choose new leaders. Before any decisions are decided we have to ask them.

At the time we elected them tt120 was also on the seti team. i think he does both. i don't know what going on with sfa ok but i can find out.

And team leaders do not have to be wearing blue stars.

Do we need a single elected team leader?? We have been doing pretty good the way we are. If something should be done, or needs to be done, or a question needs to be answered or if a news update should be shown it pretty much gets taken care of by somebody and is often done without anyone even asking for help. Ebola picked up the website, YMAN put up that informative post in GD, Lews is quick on the Linux scene, Dunga Bee, Kendan, Flounder43 are usually up on the latest news and eager to help new members. I didn't mention everyone and most of you know who you are, but you get the idea.
If you see a void then fill it and all will be well. :)

As for competition with the Australian team- This team was built slowly like most normal teams and there wasn't one single person who could make or break our standing in daily production. The fact is without Norgs we could be beating them. Also, I would estimate that about 200 wu's/day ended up at the other forum when they started their team. That's fine but it was a small step backward. We have overcome it and are now bigger than we were before, believe it or not. At that time there were about 130 active folders and we are now above 180. HardOCP has an incredibly strong team that can be much stronger than it is right now but they are currently divided among several projects. Their team was built like we are building this team now. Just keep plugging away and it will grow. It would be nice to get some of the people that dropped out to give it another shot. Some people simply cannot give it everything they've got even though they want to because of proxy problems but many just stopped running the client for one reason or another. ie. Let's rally the troops.

If you read this far then have yourself a
BTW. One last note. and another thing... before I forget... (smack)
Maybe we could restart the FAH thread in GD and wipe the one that is there, after scavenging any good info/links from the existing posts. If someone totally new to the forum tries to read it they will probably quit before they get through it all and may just pass on the idea. Just a thought.

good idea about reorganizing the thread in the GD. maybe have the subject line in bold and underlined would increase the visibility of it too.
I just wanted to introduce the new folders to the team leaders.
Happy holidays everyone!!!

I pmed shadow about the thread in the gd so hopefully he'll get it cleaned out. we should also probably clean out or stickys in this forum.

maybe come up with a one post sticky to leave at the top that is a locked thread for team info.

I'm back!!!
I haven't been around much in the last 3 weeks. The first two, I was working at school, and the last one I was without internet (AT&T/@home messup), so I couldn't fold or post. But it's nearing the end of the semester, so I won't be able to post much. But I can fold, as my internet went back up about 5 minutes ago!!

I'm here, I just have been SUPER busy the last couple of months and haven't been able to be around too much. I read as much as possible tho...

I havent done Seti for about a year, nothing but folding on my 2 machines.

I'm sorry guys, I know I haven't been much of a team leader lately but when it slows down at work when the holidays are over, I will be back in full force. My rigs are here folding away 24/7.

Fold on my brothers.

Bill.

I'm very busy at the moment, with teachers piling on work for the end of the semester. I won't be very busy during my 2-week winter break, but after that I have finals, and a few shows to work on for the rest of the school year. I'm always free during the summer. I made it clear when I volunteered to help lead that I am very busy during the school year. But since both TT120 and I have been really busy lately, I can see why people would want leaders who have more time. Let me know what you think, as I have a few names in mind myself.

I still think you are both doing great. We all get busy and I don't expect it to be any different for either of you. As long as you don't forget about us I am happy ;).

Fortunately we Ebola and ploaf going above and beyond helping out, I am sure I am missing others but there are too many as alot contribute to this team.

I agree with Ploaf on this.

While I do believe elected leadership has it duties / obligations, I also think that most organizations are powered more by leadership at all levels and hard work rather than a person or persons at the top.

Now, that is not meant to diminish the role and contributions of sfa or TT, but rather to emphasize the role that we all have in this group.

The team has been growing and has also been very harmonious as of late and that is great. I think where top level leadership is needed is during times of crises and trouble, which we have not had recently.

And, keep in mind what Ebola said, this team and these boards in general are done on everyone's free time or the people make time and sometimes it is not possible to make or find that time so everyone should be understanding and sensitive when people have other commitments to fulfill.

So , I would say to all new and existing members, if you've got a question or problem, just post it and we'll (the team) get the answer or try our hardest to get it.

One last note, let's keep recruiting and building this team and we'll fight off others that would like to get our 2nd place rank. And you never know when that one new member will join that will have access to 1,000,000,000 XPs so keep the faith :D.

I would like to thank everyone on the team. I know am not good at leading a team maybe because I have to supervise to many people at work. nah I think am just lazy myself :) Am glad I don't have the leadership roll.

After the holidays I will be getting one more XP 1800+ range I think running. That should keep me ahead of Farris :burn:

Theres a lot of work units from 1000 to 2500 We need more milestone I need more positive reinforcement. JK

Keep up the good work team leaders. As well as all the folders!

Motivation?? There's always fourth place :) I'm just sitting here dying to be knocked down a couple of pegs. That doesn't mean I'm gonna just step aside. You have to take it. :D

Am starting to gain on you again you better pick up the pace :)

Just got done helping my brother with a new 1Ghz T-Bird that I should be able to get folding as soon as his wife opens her gift :)

And am still having a lot of problems with one system and core65 crashing every day once or twice. It was stable for over a month before :( doesn't seem to be a heat problem might try placing a 120mm fan in the side of the case

I noticed that you were making some good strides. :)
I can't pick up the pace just yet, but can keep the current pace. Just lost a protein at 76 after stopping and restarting the client too. :(
After the holidays and some of the new goodies come out I may pick up a little something extra. ;) Maybe a couple of dual boards and a couple of xp's to speed things up a bit when the choices get better.

I just found a 400Mhz PII and a Pent 233 to add soon as well its not alot but every bit helps :)

Just so poeple know a Pent 120Mhz will hold a villin in under 6 days. So they do help I have added a couple here on my end. Took one here at work 4 - 4 1/2 days.
