The home page is here (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu) and our team page is here (http://www.ocsetiteam.com).
SETI@Home is a distributed computing project that analyzes radio signals received at the Arecibo radio telescope. The main focus is looking for extra-terrestrial signals, but the data is also sifted by other scientists looking for their own needle in the haystack.
You should be able to find more than enough information at the SETI@Home page. And if you like what you see, consider joining our team. We'll be glad to help get you started whether you're on the team or not.

I'm in! I got 5(3 servers of which are identical to the specs listed below) machines that sit around all day and actually DO have toasters flying across the screens doing nothing!
Now the question is, does it matter what team I join???Advantages disadvantages?? Fun? Competition? etc???Let me know!

LOL Toasters. :D
Well, it matters to US what team you join because we want you, of course. :) There are many who fly solo, too. Yes, the teams are pretty much just fun and competition.
We're ranked somewhere around 47-50 in the world (not sure exactly since we just had one biggie leave). We pass a lot of teams but not many pass us. That makes it quite fun. :) Join up, OC the hell out of anything you can get your hands on, and say good-bye to toasters. :p
Glad you decided to join :)

You could also try the Benchmark file listed in the Sticky at the top of the Forum. With specs like that I would expect your times to be excellent. A big Welcome to the Team:)
