Based on the wealth of knowledge in this forum, I'm guessing there's someone out there with some insight. I'm having some ocing trouble with a Visiontek Xtasy GeForce2 GTS 32Mb board...

Problem:
Am unable to oc past FSB 124 without video artifacts creeping in. By the time it's at 133, resolution is non-existent.

Tested:
- AGP clock at 2/3. Results in black screen after boot but before Windows logo.
- Latest Visiontek drivers (Detonator 4, I think v. 21.85). No help. At FSB 133, screen goes black at Windows logo. Albeit crappy resolution, at least the Microsoft drivers got a display. There are some additional 3D card settings available with the new drivers, but I don't think they'll be any help.
- I/O volts at 3.5. Anything less results in screen freeze in Windows even at FSB 124.

Config:
cpu: P3 550E (Coppermine)
cpu temp: 91 F
mobo: Abit BE6-II v2
RAM: 2 x 256 Mb Micron PC133 2-2-2
HDD: IBM Deskstar 60GXP (60 Gb) @ ATA100
SCSI: Adaptec 2940AU
NIC: Linksys NC100
Sound: SB Live! 5.1
Video: Visiontek Xtasy GeForce2 GTS 32Mb
OS: Win XP Pro

Am stable at FSB 124, but feel in my gut that there's more to be had if I can get this board to oc like a champ. Have considered trying NVidia reference drivers out of desperation.

Any help getting this card to oc would be greatly appreciated. If no hope, then any recommendations on an oc champ would also be greatly appreciated.

try setting the divider to 1/2...

If you mean the AGP divider, there are only two options...1/1 and 2/3. Are there mobos out there with additional AGP clock dividers?

Also...(should have put this in my last reply)...If throttling the AGP clock would help, wouldn't it have helped - or at least work - with the 2/3 setting? When I tried the 2/3 clock, I couldn't get past the boot up.

:rolleyes:try the agp clock divider at 1/2:rolleyes:

i dont think i can help Rick. i actually thought on two or three things for u to try out and seeing if they help but the problem seems to be more difficult to solve in my opinion. id first recommend you to post it at the motherboards forum or the CPU ones.
this im saying wont perhaps help you but you could give them a try:
the first one at the top!
try setting the agp interface to 1x if youre using 2 or 4x.
if the agp ap size is set to something above the 64MB, decrease it, use 64.
try to remove the nic and run the system without it; or try decreasing the pci latency timer to 32.
be sure about your current mobo's bios not to have any issues concerning the problem you got, or just try updating it.

good luck with all the stuff.
