this might not be news to anyone here, but i was caught unawares. back in january i bought a couple of 2gb SD cards from newegg that came with a rebate. the rebate form states "one rebate per product per household," so i duly sent in my two envelopes with two UPC codes and waited. now OCZ won't honor one of the claims.
i posted a query on the OCZ forums (http://www.bleedinedgesupport.com/ocz/forum/showthread.php?t=27360) and was informed that they interpret "one product" to mean "one SKU" - in other words, i bought two units of the same product. silly me, i thought "product" meant the physical unit being purchased. of course, there is no definition of this sort mentioned in the rebate's terms & conditions which seems a little sketchy to me. i also raised this concern on the OCZ forum and was informed that OCZ doesn't actually handle the rebates and i can take it up with the rebate company.
bleh, i'm not going to war over this, but i thought it might be a useful thing to know for anyone considering buying more than one OCZ...er, "item of merchandise"(?) with rebates.
