OK i have a audigy 2 value and i have a problem. I have a set of 5.1 headphones directly connected to my sound card (no inline amp) and the front speakers have a very noticible volume difference than the rest of the speakers. It doesnt matter what im doing... listening to music or playing games i gotta turn the fronts down to abotu 60% volume to have a even volume. why is this? i mean the front and rear speakers are the same so its not the headphones...

My next problem is that the rest of the speakers becides the front dont have nearly the ammount bass as the fronts. could this have something to do with my first problem. its almost like the audigy 2 uses seperate sound processors for each channel and that the front channel processor has a higher SNR, and better bass.... it has me baffeled.

Thnx

(btw i dont have bass redirection enabled because i want bass in every speaker, not just the subs, and again the sound card doesnt seem like it has enough power to power the sub)

That is because the front audio is the main audio channels. The rears are just for ambient sound enhancements and a feeling of something behind you. Also, for the most part, 5.1 channel headphones are a joke. You can not get good surround sound from them.

lol this thread is pretty much useless.... i finally came to terms that 5.1 headphones suck the kack... the spearkers in them suck soo bad... it has nothing to do with the sound card
