The Inquirer (Sometimes not the best source of true info) had a word with Epic's Mark Rein and he comfirms GOW is coming to PC.

god if it's true I hope it isn't a port...I'm so sick of ported games...the view/camera angles blow & the controls are even worse...totally ruins a good game.

its not comming to PC and i know that for a fact the people from the devloper already said so.

I sure hope this is true, though it was hard to understand what the article was actually saying since it was either written by a 7 year old or a person that hsn't yet mastered the English language. :)

The next UT is on its way and from the shots I saw in Games for Windows mag (got in the mail for free from somewhere I signed up I guess) it looks quite similar to GoW only better. Lots of vehicles, weapons, etc. No telling if it will play anything like GoW but it should be very pretty.

Unreal Tournament 3 is just the next version of Unreal Tournament 2004. So it'll be similar to that...probably multiplayer only, although you can play single player with bots. And since GoW is using the Unreal engine, they should look pretty similar. UT3 has the advantage because it can run on a PC so it can look better.
Jive, I said there are shots and an article in Games for Windows this month. In it the developers state that they are not going for just a pure multiplayer game and its going to be a very similar story to how GoW played out. It also looks nothing like UT2K4. Its very similar looking to GoW.
You will play as a main chracter fighting off badies that interrupt the Tournament. You will also have a team of characters as your allies just like in GoW. It won't be as linear as GoW was, as decisions you make will determine what maps you go to and how the story unfolds. Hopefully there will be some solid Co-Op and Team support for the story mode.
I would hope that it doesn't come to PC. Its an excellent game on ther XboX360 and it should really stay that way. It was the reason some of us bought the XboX in the first place. The way its designs suites consoles completely, not a pc :(

:eek: really? wow, I need to read more :) But the multiplayer is still there and similar to or better than UT2k4, right?

I've only briefly played it on the 360, but I can see how it would easily work on the PC. And for me it would be 100x better because I hate consoles and cannot work a controller :) If you could use a mouse and keyboard to control all of the available games, I'd be all over trying to buy one....but I don't see that happening any time soon.

why don't you tell us who your official source is? you can speak in general terms.
if not, then your word holds no more value than the Inq's.

Gears of War is too slow paced to be good on the PC.
I'll be holding off for UT3.

I hope if they do make it for PC they make the controls for PC too.. Games like star trek legacy are impossible for me to play because of the keyboard controls.. and the lack of explaining anything..

I hope this is true. It's a really cool game, but I have no 360, nor do I see myself buying one. Time will tell, I suppose.
