I am a n00b when it comes to RAM settings, so what I thought I would do is list what I have and see if any of you guys think I should change anything.

OK, I am using a 1x 1GB and 1x 256 stick. Total: 1265

Ok, each of these sticks are PC3200.

These are my settings via CPU-Z:

Frequency: 200MHz
FSB:DRAM: CPU/11
CAS#Latency: 2.5 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay: 3 clocks
RAS# Precharge: 3 clocks
Cycle Time (Tras): 7 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (Trc): 10 clocks
Command Rate: 2T
DRAM Idle Timer: 16 clocks

I inserted a snapshot of CPU-Z. Hopefully is shows up :) Thanks guys!

it would help if you listed EXACTLY what hardware you are working with. motherboard, cpu, ram brand/type, etc.

first thing i would say is that you are running in single channel. dual channel is ideal, but you need 2 matching sticks of ram, and you cannot have odd amounts. so to do this, i would ditch the 256mb stick, and buy a 1gb stick, exactly like the one you have now.
