Tonight I replaced my 3 year old linksys hub with a new linksys full duplex switch. So of course I wanted to check out the sandra network benchmark. Ahh just what I was hoping for sandra scored 9 times higher with the 100mb/s switch. Thats logical right, going from a 10mb/s hub to a full duplex 20/200 switch. But I also ran the other sandra benchmarks...

Whats up with this? all my sandra score are 4-6 times higher than before. I rebooted & ran sandra again... same thing. Power off the puter and back on... same thing. Reboot & changed overclock from fsb126 to fsb112... same thing. Unplugged the nic & rebooted & run sandra again... same thing! I really wish this was real, but I know sandra is misreporting... but why?

Are you using the Te version of Sandra, I'm sure I saw a post with problems with this version. I also replied to a Thread that gave pretty outrageous scores for PC133 memory using the TE version. The user went back to an earlier version and obtained far more realistic results.

This is driving me insane! some gremlin tweaker must have hacked my system. This problem just won't go away. Sandra has been running fine on XP for 2 over months now. And to boot wintune is reporting 23,000 mips and also doubled or better scores. Not only cpu score but also the hard drive speed has doubled, my pc150 memory which my previous high score was 425 is now 1294. Seem every thing is either 2x, 4x faster than it used to be. Also with sandra the benchmarks take 2x or 4x longer to run than before. But wintune tests take the same time as before but report also 2x 4x scores!
How is this possable? I did a huge 3d acad model of an entire wastewater treament facility years ago and have always used this has my own personal bechmark. It takes exactly the same time to render or hide the model as before. My systems also not any less stable than it used to be. So whats up? i'm serious could my teenage son have done this to me?
I've been all though bios & overclocked, underclocked from 66MHz to 129Mhz, overvolt, undervolt, every memory setting cleared cmos. In XP i've check everything and nothings wrong or even different than before. Even removing then adding sandra didn't help!
