It's my first post and I'm new to the board so go easy on me ........ :santa2:

I spend almost the entire day today looking at random forums, random threats that were related to overclocking and cooling, and I got to the conclusion that I will build my own custom cooling water system, and so far I have decided to go with:

CPU Water Block:
- D-Tek FuZion 1/2"
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-65556269779593_1940_19907180
or
- Swiftech Apogee GT Extreme Performance 1/2"
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-65556269779593_1939_29592612

Pump:
- Laing D5 Danger Den
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-65556269779593_1937_20103309

Radiator:
- MCR220-QR Swiftech
or
- GTS240 Black Ice GT Stealth
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-65556269779593_1939_2047694

Reservoirs:
- Alphacool Cape Coolplex Pro 10
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/images/products/15700.jpg
or
- EK-RES150 Multi-Option Reservior
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-65556269779593_1938_20816568

Accessories:
- Tubes Tygon R3603 1/2
- Clamps Metal
- Connectors

What do you guys think about this setup, is it okay, should I go with something different, will I face some problems with this setup?????

Thx in advance ...... :bday:

Great choice of parts! I really like your choices for a res too. :)

Edit: If you're going w/thin-walled tubing you might want some SmartCoils for those sharp bends ...

everything you've shown here is great, no matter what combination you went with , this looks good.

Might i recommend a couple of panaflo or delta 120mm fans and a fan controller for them so that you may adjust your cfm to your ears desires and have the capacity for excellent cooling.

Arctic Silver 5 or whatever their latest paste too. I'd get plastic clamps or use zip ties (3 per connect and have the "knots" at 120 degree differences. metal ones can be dangerous\difficult.

I'd say for what you show, buy whatever is cheapest but look at the dimensions of your case (or external area if the rad will be outside) and of your gear. For instance, your reservoir should be higher then your pump. Plan it out and see what will work for you and if it doesn't matter, buy the cheaper of the two.

:welcome: to the forum, k2storm. I don't see any problems with those parts, but what are your goals for this rig?

Thx guys for all the help ...... I will be ordering the parts in a couple of hours. As for the future plans goes ... Once I have the system up and running I will try to overclock it and see how far I can go without damaging the processor or any other parts on my motherboard, or at least till I'm satisfied with all the results :santa: . At the moment I won't be cooling my video card, because I'm planning to purchase the R600 video card once it is resealed or couple months after that, once I see some benchmarks, or get the confirmation that the card can be overclocked as well.

I'm also planning to purchase this for my RAM:

And purchase the Blocks by Mips to cool down all the other parts of my motherboard.

This is probably what I will try to do with my system, at one point or the other, most of the parts listed above I will try to buy and play around with them, but nothing is certain at the moment.

And once I'm done with the installation I will try to post some pictures of the setup, but don't expect anything special, because my digital camera sucks big time :bang head: , the pictures come to blurry it's hard to tell what you are looking at, when you look at the picture.

Any way thx guys for all the help and all the recommendations

Wow that northbridge/southbridge cooling setup is ridiculous! The tubes look like 3/8" though, I wonder what pump he's using for it.
