Has anyone tried using acoustic foam? I've heard much better results with it than dynamat, thinking of buying some of this stuff for myself.

my .02c
Dynamat is rather expensive though, isn't it?
A little tip on putting acoustic foam in your case. If you aren't filtering the air, it really traps dust in your case. If you blow your case out as a routine maintenance type thing it is no problem. I blow mine out every two weeks, including the HSF. Even if you think your home isn't dusty, your computer acts as a vacuum cleaner for you and you would be surprised at dust buildup.

I just used carpet pad in mine. Swiped a couple of scap pieces when we where carpeting our addition. Not a huge difference, but definely noticable. Other stuff might work better, but this was free. If you know anyone whos having there carpet replaced you can probably get your hands on some scrap.
