XP uninstall

one more..... maybe a very stupid question but how do I remove Windows XP from my machine?

I want to format my HD prior to re-install WinXP. I don't believe in reinstalling an OS over an existing one. Under Win98 I used to boot up in DOS and do the Format c:\ thing.... now I'm not sure

use your win98 startup disk and choose minimal boot. At the A: prompt type fdisk and enter. delete all primary,extended and logical dos partitions. reboot get to fdisk and create a primary dos partition and make it active. You should have copied format.com to the floppy first. reboot, format C:
