Very interesting...

It's all in Euros, so pricing doesn't necessarily equate back to American, but sounds like the premium unit will drop down to the Core unit price, and the Core unit will go away.

I suspect we won't see a die shrink until at least near summer, probably more towards Christmas...purely a guess on my part. With a new black 120GB HDMI unit or some such beast, which I bet would take on the current Premium price here in the states, I wouldn't be surprised to see another round of increased value come next Christmas. This next Christmas is probably going to be decisive for this generation. Die shrink would possibly get mixed in with that product change...maybe a unified unit that has HDMI, die shrink, large HDD, all for $299 or less or something like that. MS will probably unload their guns on Sony come next Christmas season...including Halo 3 as was mentioned in the article.

Yeah, as things are, I'm not sure how much HDMI is really needed.

I expect that the 120GB HDD would be available as a separate accessory. Kinda like buying bigger memory cards as they become available on older systems.

Have you already filled up one of the hard drives?

well... this is almost good news for me. i just had all my video game systems stolen durring a robery. i was mad before about the new 120 gig hdd, but now ill just use the insurance money to buy the new upgraded version, and its like i upgraded for free...

There also releasing a 256mb Memory card as well due to the arcade games size barrier been lifted to 250mb. The 64mb card is going to drop in price to £15 from £24 over here in the UK while the 256mb is supposedly going to be £25 but probably £30 with our crappy VAT.
