Would it be bad if i take the fan off the hs on the northbridge? It's more noisy than my hsf...:mad:

Get a Blorb and stick it on instead. Also put a copper shim under it. [can be bought at Ace Hard ware for about $5.00]

Lap the Blob 1st.

Don't run without a NorthBridge HSF combo. it's there for a reason. (STABILITY) :eek:

it is ok to remove the fna but i would add some better thermal paste such as artic silver II and also replace the fan with a quiter one or make sure their is good airflow over the case

Lapped Blorb works good....

All I can say or an old 4x86 heatsink too.
