I installed Microsoft Office 2000 Deluxe on my aunties PC, she called me to tell me when she uses "Word" the "File" option on the top left hand window is not there? I told her to try "CNTRL-S" (to "save as..."), and it worked? I'm confused....

have her open office | hit alt-t, which should bring up the toolbars template, then have her click on customize and from here check first that under toolbars that the menu bar is checked if not check it, close and restart office and see. if she has the menue bar but not the file option go to the same tools template | customize and have her click on the commands option and have her scrool down to the option "built-in Menus" have her click on this to highlite it and have her look to the top right and she will see amoung other options one that says "File" she just needs to drag that word "File" over to her toolbar where she usually would find it and release it and it will now be part of that tool bar, just like it should be and for who knows y is not
