I've been tracking our mutual progressions for about 3 weeks now, you always stay 50 wu's above me. A day and a half ago I reconfigured my K6-2 from 112X5.0 to 124X4.5, I lost 2mhz overall but upped my fsb by 12. Prior to this change I had only one sub 20 hour wu with my K6-2, 19:25:55 to be specific, with my average wu times being around 22-23 hours. My first wu using the new settings completed in 19:15:24 and my current wu estimates to finish within 10 minutes of that time either way. End result, I've shaved about 3 hours off my average wu time. Assuming neither of us does anything to alter our systems between now and late spring I'll pass you then.

C ya! :burn:

Edit: make that late summer, but still, :burn:

I reckon he is tweaking his system at this very moment. You gave him far too much warning, 3 months. Wait until you're a WU behind then pounce.;)

Yeah but what respectable overclocker stops his/her upgrades? I may get no closer than 50 wu's. I might as well pseudo brag now instead of not brag later. This was not just about my possible gains on him but my reduced work times as well.

Oho! Target for another, eh? ;) I've been watching you, too, to make sure you're still back there and haven't jumped ahead. I've noticed you stay the same amount back, too. Let's keep it that way. :D

FYI, I just finished my next system today. P3 866 default (for now) + DDR. Better make that the summer after. :p Look at the measures I have to take to keep you behind me!

BTW, There are two others on the list I've been keeping close watch on, too: "PTCG" and "AMD 1.4 w256MB DDR + P200 w/64 x 3". They seem to be right in the thick of this "Near 500 Club". If you two are out there, step in and throw some smack around too. This challenge thing keeps me working on this stuff. :) Well, maybe don't step in... all this challenging has got to start hurting my wallet sometime soon. :D

Grin while you can, I've been eyeballing ECS 735 prices and I know where to get a Thunderbird that should do at least 1100mhz cheap. I hope to have a new machine myself by Feb. I may lose ground for a bit, but in the long run :burn:
