View Full Version : Monitor Lines and Shaking
My monitor currently has tiny lines going from top to bottom. The picture is shaking just a tad. What does this mean? Should I change video drivers? Currently running 23.10. Thanks:)
Try the ones you were using before. I think I heard somewhere thatthe 23.10's had problems with via chipsets.

Does your monitor have a degauss option? You might have to look it up.

Yes! It was under miscellaneous. What do I do with it?
you click on it and it clears your display of magnetic interference.
ex. you put something that is magnetic near your monitor and your monitors display gets all funky. degausing it will clear it so it is normal again.
Holy Crap! It worked!:) And I was think my monitor was dying! Thanks Guys!
Heh mine has the TV lines when I turn on the TV which is right beside it :)

I just came back to post the same thing. I was checking for the matrix on TV, then I turned it off. I was looking at the monitor screen at the same time, and the lines went with off with it. Is it bad to have the TV near the monitor?

LOL, you do get excited when things work.
Having the TV near will cause interference, but since your monitor does have the degausser you can get rid of any magnetic build up. Most modern monitors can handle it, some older ones without a degausser will have problems.
You might want to deguass a few times, the first time does not always get it all.

Cool! Thanks for the help! I just thought my monitor was going down the tubes and I definitely didn't want that to happen. (Especially at this time of year!:) )
