View Full Version : When the Geforce 9800 comes out I'm selling my Radeon 9800 on ebay.
Anyone else plan to capitalize on this confusion? Or do you think Nvidia will switch to a different naming convention?

I can picture the people on ebay now.. BUY YOUR AGP 9800 FOR ONLY 300 DOLLARS!!! And it would be a old ATI one.. Lol..

It wouldn't be as bad as selling, say, an empty PS3 box on egay, but if you specify that it's a Radeon and not a Geforce, then whoever buys it has no right to complain. If they pay $300+ for it, then they're just retarded and they get what they deserve.

I think he was thinking a little further ahead, possibly a few years from now

They might go with lower digits or another naming code (example would be like what Intel did by dropping the 3-digit chipset names {965, 975}, to the simple 2-digit names {35, 38} for Bearlake).

At the rate new GPU's are coming out, you probably won't have to wait long.
