Okay, for your amusement, here is 97.95:
ftp://evga.com/driver/WinXP32bit_97_95.zip

It is officially posted by EVGA tech Jacob F. on the EVGA forums. It is for those using Windows XP 32 bit, and using 8800 series cards. Supposedly it fixes some issues with nv4 display errors.

I personally have not tested them yet, since I have developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome installing and uninstalling crappy drivers over and over again for the last four months. However, I post this for all of those out there who wish to punish themselves testing what will probably turn out to be just the latest in a long string of useless nvidia software, which probably fixes one issue and opens several more.

Excuse me now while I go shove some rusty nails under my fingernails instead of installing these drivers...

just for those who get BSOD's do you ever get an issue where the screen just suddenly goes blank?

I'll give it a go now on the system in my siggy. Just finished installing Stalker and it locked up on the menu screen>black screen>BSOD>Nv disp error on my 97.92. This just might be what the Dr. ordered.:bday:

I finally broke down and installed this driver after a bunch of crashes in Oblivion. I am happy to say that I haven't had a crash in at least six hours of playing, which is a record for me. I choose to test with Oblivion because it is the most graphically and CPU intensive game I own, and the most frequent crasher.

There are still some open issues with this driver for me, the most notable being the inability to disable the VGA scaling (for older games such as MOH that do not support widescreen resolutions), but this driver works better than the others for me.
