I about to plug my CPU in my motherboard, and I was wonding if denatured alcohol is cool to clean the cpu and heat sink?

It will be OK.

If you're cleaning off old thermal goop, use something acetone-based first (Nail varnish remover) then clean with the alcohol......

cool. this I knew to use isopropyl alcohol alcohol but I didn't know if denatured was the same thing. The label on all these bottles suck. they don't tell you any thing. Also I noticed that arctic silver can make a mess. I go a little dab of it on the ceramics but is wasn't touching and of the metal parts so I figured I would be okay
