Hiya

I hope anyone can help me with this, i got:

one
-Adaptec® SCSI Controler 29160N

and one
-Seagate® Cheetah X15 - ST318452 / 15,000 RPM
18,4 Gig - Acess Time 3,6ms - Ultra160 SCSI LVD

that i just bought and receive for my gaming machine im currently building. My question is that im looking for sumthing to cool it off. Im looking for any advice you can give me since its my first contact with SCSI. Cause all articles ive seen so far only apply to EIDE cooling and since this one turn alot faster im confused about how much CFM i should give, i dont plan on using water cooling btw. Any suggestions of a brand/name/model ?

Nice drive. I am looking at a couple of them myself. Put a fan focused on it as in servers. The latest 15k Cheetahs run cooler than the early 10k models.

if you don't allready have a case get one like an antec or lian li as they can put fans infront of the drive bays

Case fan blowing into drive bays does for my 15k cheetah, barely gets warm. Without the fan it gets hot to the touch.

thanks for all the replies, ill buy a lian li case i think, anyway i had to buy the case since my old one can barely hold anything more. I already have some spare Sunon fans(60&80mm) so it wont be a problem after all.

cheers :)
