View Full Version : 12v, 5v Dangerous lv?
My current
+5v - 4.92
-5v - 0.88
+12 - 12.55, but sometimes can go up as high as 13.25
-12v - 2.21
is the 12v too high?
I am using a crappy Deer 300Watt psu..
No $$ to get a new one yet...
Will it do any harm?

Its getin high at 13.25, but i dont THINK it will dammage anything. You may want to look into getting a new powersupply though.

This can be quite normal and in margin and not nessecary in your PSU but could also be in the power regulators on your mainboard. It's prolly going up when the system is idle and when you start Folding@home and run some other apps. that keep the system busy it'll drop more down to spec. I see this all the time with my system and it's not causing any probs whatsoever.

i got a DEER power supply rated at 300w but i've never seen that happen in my comp.
I think Deer power supplys are not that bad cos i've had mine for a year without a glitch.
They seem ok except for the 13v one..
Try running some heavy duty application and then seeing how it goes down.
If not then I would look into a Antec Case/PSU combo :) Its always good to get a new case when looking at the new psu hehe.
