I am using a PIII 1GHz and a ASUS TUSL2-C in jumperless mode.
I am slowly stepping my FSB and I noticed this.

When running at 1072MHz my
SDRAM Ratio is 133:133:33
Actual Speed 143/143/35

When I go one more step to 1080Mhz+
SDRAM Ratio is 133:100:33
Actual Speed 144/108/36

It does this whether I am in SPD mode or userdefined.

Why does my ram default back to PC100?

PIII 1000MHz @ 1072MHz
ASUS TUSL2-C
512MB PC133
GeForce2 GTS 32MB @ 220/400
Det 23.11's
SB Live 5.1

Are you sure it just doesn't automatically lower your diviser when at that FSB??? That may be a safety feature with that board so overclockers like us don't fry ram. lol. I can't tell ya for sure, my knowledge of that board is limited, however, I can tell you the things I've heard of that board aren't so good. My best guess is that your ram can't cut it that fast and the mobo is automatically bumping you down a notch.

I doubt this actually has anything to do with it, but just for grins, if your ram isn't set at CAS 3, set it there. CAS 2 helps performance but RAM doesn't run well over spec at CAS 2.

No! You can set it back up I think. It does not have to stay there. My ST6 and TUSL2 both did that. I simply after it happend went and moved it back to where I WANTED IT!:D

Oh yeah... heh... my bad... try resetting it there!!! If there's a user-define option, you may have to enable it. Heh heh heh... shoulda thought of that first!! Thanks ol'man!

if your running you board out of spec, say above 140 mhz it will revert your ram to cas 3 and your agp to x2 rather than x4. there is a tweaked bios to fix that, you should be able to find help at www.asusboards.com
