Thermometers.....

Hi guys,

Found a thermometer today, looks like a high quality one that would be real accurate and nice to incorporate in my watercooling setup. Trouble is, it has a very small bubble in the alcohol thread, any ideas how to get it out?

Try shaking it out? Hold the top (high temp) end and shake it. That's why you see Doctors shaking them in the movies.

Another idea is to hold it under warm water till the bubble is pushed into the top, but make sure the water doesn't exceed the temperature the thermometer can handle.

AFAIK the reason for shaking the thermometer is that these thermometer "store" the highest temperature recorded. You then have to shake them "back" to ambient before using them again...
