Has anyone had any experience with these cards? $50+ for 128mb video card seems cheap. What's wrong with them?

Pretty crappy chipset thats whats wrong.
Think of it in line with an Mx-200, and thats not worth the 50 bucks.
Also, amount of ram doesn't matter when the chipsets architecture doesn't use it.
Only cards I can think of that actually use(or could use) 128mb of ram would be the GF3s, the 8500s, and high-end professional workstation cards.

whats wrong with them is that they suck, now, if they allowed you to use that ram as system memory, then it might be a better buy :)......more isnt always better, games for a long tiem will not need more than 64mb...

Even then they would use system memory!
That card has no Active Cooling and the Ram isn't even cooled. ITs a scam to make you think its the fastest card ever (most people think MB and MHZ are the be all and end all) so you waste ya cash.
Shops do it all the time.

So scratch high MB cards. I watch movies online so which card do you recommend. I have not found any difference in video quality between 16MB and 32MB cards (DELL, Gateway, HP PCs). I like to use "To Kill A Mockingbird" to test them. ...huge difference between an 8MB and 16MB card. Here is a site with the movie if anyone cares let me know if their card gives a smooth or jerky video...I know, I know...you are going to say that the stream is what makes it jerky but obviously the videocard makes a huge difference if the stream is great...8MB cards look like a slide show and not a movie. I've downloaded other movies (Reefer Madness, Night of The LIving Dead) and their video quality is no better on the HD than it is streaming from the net.

I am building a PC for the first time. Parts will be here tomorrow and I am pulling a 16MB card from old PC but will want to upgrade...new PC is a Pentium III 1.2, Abit VH6-T, Maxtor 7200 ATA 133 60 GB D740X, 640MB Micron PC133 Cas2 ram (I have alot of free 128mb pc133 sticks from CompUSA, Office Depot etc. that I will sell to upgrade what I have...ok, the tax was around $1.50 per stick so they weren't free but $15 for 1280MB of ram isn't too shabby).

You might wanna look into a Radeon 32mb DDR / LE
Only 60 bucks and it'll compete with Geforce 2s and it rules in 2d and DVD playback.

I see the Radeon 7500 for around $100. Any reasons NOT to get it?
