I was getting a overflow error ,

So I applied that flow overload patch and that stopped that overflow error, but now my game is now really screwy.

I cant seem to be able to view the whole screen in OPENgl, as I see about 25% of the CS screen.

IN Direct3D I can view the whole screen.

Ive tried reinstalling the 8500 drivers made sure the resolution is 1024x768 in the CS console, I run desktop at same resolution @85mhz

I even reinstalled the Latest XP Radeon drivers, Reinstalled Counter-strike, applied the Overflow patch.

But when I hit the enter game link, It connects and I can only see a portion of the screen, roughly 25% of it in the top right hand corner of my screen.

I run XPpro and if anyone thinks that using 98 will help Ill try that, just thought I would ask for suggestions first.

I love the Radeon, but I also love Counterstrike and not being able to play because of this stinks......I still got my GF2 Ultra, but I really like the Radeons 2-d qualities ANYWAY

PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME

yep.. I had the same prob..
on max res. in opengl...

it happened on a later patch of the game..

but I drop the resolution one or two which ever fills ratio better and I stick to that...

Ottoman,

That seemed to do the trick but playing at 640 x 480 is pretty much the pits, as thats the only resolution that plays full screen in openGL/

ATI really sux in the driver dept, as My nvidea card never had a problem like this.

For gosh sakes CS is such a popular game and this issue is going to **** off alot of people.

Time to wait till ATI puts out better drivers I s'pose. Gonna stick my Ultra back in as D3D is the pits

**Update**

Problem is now gone and works fine in openGl with win 98 and ME I Formatted and viola problem is gone

XP must have been the culprit, but to confirm this since this is my spare HDD I will reload XP and see if it goes berzerk again.

Tomorrow is fresh format of my primary HDD for me :(

I was using WinXP 6.13.3286 for XP

Then I reformatted and went back to win98 and am using 4.13.7206

And All is running perfectly and this card gets to stay......
