I'm using a sunon 80mm fan on a fan adapter on a thermoengine hsf.

Motherboard monitor reports the fan RPM as 2350 .... yet the sunon site suggests it should run at 2900...

Have I got a faulty fan or is MBM lying ?

I've tried changing the fan type and multipler in MBM .... whatever I try it never reads 2900.

Thanks in advance

WELCOME to the forums. It might be MBM5. With my Delta at the web site it says 4900r.p.m. and I get as high as 5200r.p.m. As long as it`s cooling the way it should I wouldn't worry about it.

it is possabe that you dont have a high power psu and that the fan is not getting as much juice as it needs

I think the PSU should be fine - its an enermax 350w PSU - which is not being that overloaded ...

1 LG CDROM
1 Creative CDRW
1 IBM 7200 rpm 30Gig Drive
2 Case Fans
HS Fan
1.4Ghz Athlon at 1.533 Ghz

should be plenty of juice from a 350w enermax ?
