ok the hammer doesnt work with fsb because it doesnt have a northbridge (= no fsb)
this also means it doenst have a multiplier (i guess), because whats there to multiply?
I hope there is something in the hammer that will give us the possiblilty to OC it ...
does anybody have some info on this?

2nd quarter 2002 the Thoroughbreds come out I think.

Hammer/Barton is shortly after that (bout a year)

There probably won't be much to say about it till then, save for the fact that it'll probably be around .13 or .09 micron.

Why would they not have a northbridge?

Is this tied into the fact that they have a memory controller on the chip or some other reason?

How could a cpu run without FSB ??? And could you post the site from where you got that info please :) ?

I would guess that since we usually set the fsb in the bios for overclocking that it wouldn't matter if the northbridge is on the cpu or on the motherboard.

I doubt it, something has to be multiplied and set to give it its speed, unless it was set in the chip (onboard bios or someick) if so you might have to get a Golden Socket thing or mod the chip, hope not after-all AMD's success is due to being easy to overclock it.
