So back in January I sent in a corsair twinx-4000pt 2gb set for rma. THEY JUST GOT THERE! I hadnt sent it with any insurance or any tracking because of me being impatient and not having the cash. WOOO WOO!!! Sorry I just had to share this with some people. I had just chalked it up as a $225 loss!

Did they accept the RMA? Most of the time there is a narrow time limit on returns.

They did! Which is a little surprising to me although I did talk to ramguy a few times and left some emails with them regarding the ram. I dont know. All I know is I just got an email from them saying that they received it but that is obsolete and they give me three options.

1. Exchange for the 3200C2 or 3200C2PRO series
2. Upgrade to the DDR2 platform (6400C4 series)
3. Issue a refund based on your original invoice

Which one do you guys think I should do. Original invoice was for $225. Do you think they would give me that whole amount back?

I'd go for the cash since you've got new DDR1 in your sig. email them back and ask the refund amount, if it's the full invoice go for it.

Take the cash! Ask for it in Yen! Convert it to euros...go on a Meditaranean cruise!

Dude, go to their tech help forum, its littered with people who have sent them RMA's months ago that have not "arrived" yet. Makes you wonder.

Edit: Well yeah if you've talked to ramguy then you've visited their site.

Personally I wouldn't send anything like that without a tracking number and maybe even some insurance.

Oh I know. I will never ever take that chance again. I had driven all the way into town for a dentist appointment that took longer than expected and the post office was going to close soon and it was on sat. so couldn't send it out the next day and I only had the cash to ship it. So I said screw it and just shipped it. Freaky experience

To be honest I would have probably ended up doing the same thing. I have no patience when it comes to PC stuff. :)

It is possible that they received it a few days after you sent it and only updated you recently cause thats when they got to it. Im still waiting on OCZ they have had my ram for well over a month now.

There is an OCZ rep here in the Forums (OCZSteve) if memory serves me right.

You could PM him & check into assistance in your case.
