PC would be a smart move. Since it's not an exclusive to one system they are not being payed by Microsoft or Sony, so may as well open their market up. However PC gaming is in some trouble because as a dev said, if you have the system to run our game, you know what a torrent is.
I uploaded the 720p version, enjoy! :santa:

Good to see them going back to the roots. I hope it will come out on PC within the same time frame.

Looks pretty cool. Graphics are better this time around. Wish we could have gotten a look at more than just some lighting and shadowing (and a little bit of the textures). I'd like to see what the characters look like. Perhaps see if they actually have separated fingers :)

i wanted to see them at least beat someone up or run them over lol some in game play would of been great
Looks nice... but it irks me that the release doesn't list PC
Depending on how the release ends up being, this might be the surefire game to get me to buy a 360 finally :P

Yeah, I don't like the current obsession with making game trailers in the same style as the worst hollywood movie trailers. They now seem to eschew providing any useful or interesting information in favour of a silly deep voiceover and a stupid stylized long intro.

Who would want to go to the trouble of finding a torrent, downloading it, getting past copy protection, and then not being able to play the game online or in some cases update it, when you have the cash to purchase it.
Anyway, I thought the trailer looked great! Can't wait to see the next one!

Apparently you have never done a torrent. There is not one popular game I don't think I couldn't get in under 5 minutes. The download of course takes a big longer but they usually come pre-cracked so you simply go watch TV and come back later to play it. I do agree that you probably have the money, but acting like a torrent is hard is completely off, it in most ways is easier then going to a store online or off. Also in case you are wondering I am not saying try torrents, they are of course terrible for developers.

It really is nice seeing this game in such detail, the other GTAs have been nothing in the way of graphics so this is a bit of a nice surprise.

At least they are finally going to a new engine, I would guess it will come out for PC 6 months later, just like the last GTA:SA and VC

It's not hard, it's annoying! The worst part is of course updating after you've cracked the game, and playing online is usually impossible. More than likely anyone with the money for a good PC will just purchase the game.
Eh, I forgot one step though, burning it. Unless you use virtual drives you'll have to burn the game to use it, unless it's a rip. You'll probably want to play the game in the future as well (post reformat), so you'll need to back it up on another HD if you don't burn it.

Sorry, we really were not talking about torrents as in how to use them, which is what is frowned upon on these forums. Our discussion was concerning if this game will come to the PC, and as it stands torrents are a huge reason it may not.

Our discussion was concerning if this game will come to the PC, and as it stands torrents are a huge reason it may not.The demand for it on the PC will be too high for them not to, and since they don't have any exclusive console deals anymore(correct me if I'm wrong), it would be dumb not to. They've already built the player-base with their current PC game ports, there is no reason it wouldn't be a success.

There being smart about at least not releasing it right away. Just to make sure that good old buddy Jack can't find a Hot Coffee mod to sue them with again.

Did anyone else think that it was render quality graphics?

Nah, it looked like engine graphics to me. I honestly wasn't "blow my skirt up" impressed. They looked decent and the lighting was nice and stuff, but they weren't really wow quality or anything. To me at least.
Did anyone else think that it was render quality graphics?Definitely looked in-game to me, and IMHO it looks very impressive for a sandbox game with that many NPC's.
I don't think Rockstar would release a rendered trailer anyway.
I'll be glad if the characters simply have hands that look normal.:)

I get the feeling it'll need uber-specs to play on the PC - when it's released on the PC that is :)

Probably not totally over the top, give or take say its released first half of 08, guessing it would require a nice processor of course C2D thats out now or a AMD chip thats coming out. Your 8xxx Series or X2xxx Series GPU's. I'd say thats what would need for it to be maxed out or nearly maxed out. Not over the top probably by then since the next gen cards will be out probably around the same time, and CPU prices would of dropped nicely by then and newer faster ones will be out.
