could be temp, could be a lot of things....bad ram, dying core....maybe remove and reseat the HSF
i lowered the core clock and the memeory clock.
615/1802
and im having no aritifacts at all.
removing and reseating HSF, i notice theres little white pads.. what are those? would replacing those white pads with as5 do anything? is it wise to do it?

The only thing is to try a pci slot cooler. It's a card with 2 80mm fans on it you place it under the vc and it blows cool air onto it. Open the side of your case. what I did for my 8800 gtx was to get the only after market cooler from thermalright the hr 03. I think with the gt you might need an additional part. Newegg has them they are kind of pricy. Zalman is said to have something in the works also. If 70 is under load it's not bad. Ther hr 03 dropped me to 54 idle and 67 under load so I'm assuming your 70 is under load. I also run mine oc to 627/2000
well it idles at 50, when i play cod2 for an hour, it spikes up to 69 ish. and yeah i heard from zalman they are working a 8800gtx/gts aftermarket cooler for it. looks promising. i guess i'll wait till they release a aftermarket cooler for the 8800series. till then, i'll look for a pci cooler. any recommendations?
