hi folks, i'm a bit out of touch with the latest CPU's out there since i havent bought a new pc in quite some time. bear with me please.

i have a p4 3.4ghz gallatin core socket 478 cpu right now and it is minimally overclocked to 3.6ghz.

i have a rare opportunity to receive a "free" celeron D 356 computer (dont ask how hehe..) so i'm wondering how this would compare with my older pc? i read that these puppies o/c in excess of 4ghz, howver due to small 512k cache, it really doesnt perform THAT well.

when i receive the pc, i'm wondering if i should make that my "main" pc or just stick to my older pc..

any feedback would be appreciated

thank you!

356 is a better choice only when overclocking... Celeron @ 4.5 or more will be worth it for a Free upgrade.. If you were to compare it at stock then it's not worth it.
